US Ambassador holds talks with IRCU Council of Presidents

The US Ambassador to Uganda His Excellency Scott Delishi paid a visit to the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda Offices at Namirembe hill. Mr. Scott Delishi made the visit on 11th June, 2013 to hold consultations with IRCU’s Council of Presidents (COP).

The meeting provided opportunity for the Ambassador to interact with the IRCU supreme governance body to build, strengthen US Government’s engagement with faith based fraternity in Uganda, and to explore strategies for enlisting an expanded role of religious organizations in the promotion of health in Uganda.

While welcoming the Ambassador and his entourage, the Council of Presidents expressed gratitude to the United States Government and her people for the continued partnership with the faith fraternity in Uganda. They assured the meeting of the great potential within religious organizations for engagement and transformation of the quality of lives of people.
