IRCU Launches the Inter-Religious Institute for Peace (IRIP).

The Inter–Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU) on Friday 10^th August 2012 launched the Inter-Religious Institute for Peace (IRIP). The Institute was launched  under the Vision ‘’Peaceful and Prosperous Communities and Countries in the Great Lakes Region and the mission is ‘’Enhancing the capacities of religious leaders, faith communities and other peace actors to prevent, resolve and transform conflicts in the Great Lakes Region and beyond, through use of faith-based approaches.’’ It was launched at St. Francis Chapel, Makerere University.
