IRCU trains Mukono Women in Soap Making

Lucy Ojambo aged 40-years lost her husband in 2011 to HIV/AIDS. Ojambo was an ordinary housewife who only knew how to do house chores and had no form of employment to sustain her children. But Ojambo can now make soap, candles, Jellies and beads from paper, thanks to the Inter Religious Council of Uganda/USAID supported HIV/AIDS programme that trains caregivers and Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC).

Ojambo is among the 30 caregivers from CHAIN Foundation in Mukono District who are benefiting from IRCU supported HIV/AIDS programme, specifically under the Orphans and Vulnerable Children component.
