NATIONAL DIALOGUE COMMUNITY AMBASSADORS’ WORKSHOP

The Inter Religious Council of Uganda trained and commissioned 230 National Dialogue Youth Community Ambassadors mobilized from 14 regions from around the country.  The Youth ambassadors were trained to do advocacy  through sensitization and awareness initiatives in their communities of residence and operation on the need to talk about national issues in a National Dialogue.

The Youth ambassadors brain stormed on the best approaches of advocacy without being mistaken for saboteurs of government projects and programs.

The inter-religious Council of Uganda Secretary General Joshua Kitakule challenged the youth ambassadors to handle their commission with a none partisan approach, he emphasized that political Parties ideologies and colours should be abandoned for a national cause.

The Bishop of Bukedea region Church of Uganda, Rt Reveland Egessa Samuel appealed to the youth ambassadors to portray discipline and tolerance among the people they operate in otherwise winning respect and trust might be a little more difficult without discipline. Bishop Egessa prayed and commissioned the youths to start their responsibilities as entrusted to them by Inter-religious Council of Uganda. The Youth ambassadors were trained during a three day workshop that took place in Soroti
